Timea Tankó
Timea Tankó (born 1978 in Leipzig ) is a Hungarian - German literary translator .
Life
Timea Tankó grew up in Hungary and Germany. She studied French and Spanish as well as cultural studies at the University of Leipzig and graduated in 2004 as a qualified translator. She taught Hungarian from 2001 to 2010 at the University of Leipzig. Since 2003 she has been working as a freelance literary translator and interpreter for Hungarian.
Tankó lives in Berlin .

- 2019 nomination for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize for the translation of Löwenchor ( György Dragománs )
