Times Ain't Like They Used to Be is a compilation series from Yazoo Records . The series includes a total of eight CDs and one DVD, which offers a cross-section of American roots music, i.e. blues , folk and old-time music as well as gospel . All recordings are from the 1920s and 1930s.

The first CD, Times Ain't Like They Used to Be, Vol. 1 , was released on April 22, 1997. In addition to the eight CDs, there is a DVD containing original recordings by artists from the time, such as Ernest Stoneman , Buell Kazee , includes the Memphis Jug Band or the Nugrape Twins .
