Timo Schierhorn
Timo Schierhorn (* 1979 in Winsen an der Luhe , Lower Saxony ) is a German video artist and filmmaker .
Live and act
Timo Schierhorn studied since 2002 Communications Visual and Fine Arts at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg . In 2009 he finished his studies with the award-winning semi-autobiographical experimental film Nacht um Olympia .
Timo Schierhorn has been working continuously as a video artist for theater projects and performances since 2001. He also directed music videos for bands like Deichkind , Tocotronic , Egoexpress , 1000 Robota and Die Vögel. In 2013, he and Mathis Menneking produced the documentary 1.7 about the German punk band Slime .
Timo Schierhorn lives and works in Hamburg .

- 2010: German Film Critics' Prize in the Best Experimental Film category for Night at Olympia
- 2012: 2nd Muvi Prize and Audience Prize at the 58th International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen for the music video Die Vögel: Fratzengulasch (together with Katharina Duve )
- 2014: 1st Muvi Prize at the 60th International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen for the music video Die Goldenen Zitronen: The Investor (together with Ted Gaier and Katharina Duve)
