Timoria is an Italian rock - band from Brescia ( Lombardy ). It originated in 1987 from the previous band Precious Time . In 1991 she won the Critics' Prize at the Sanremo Festival with L'uomo che ride ; In 2002 she took part again with Casa mia .

In 2003 - after the release of the live album - the band announced that they wanted to take a break for an indefinite period of time. Diego and Illorca formed the band Miura , while front man Omar Pedrini embarked on a solo career.
