Tina Schumacher (born March 20, 1978 in Biel / Bienne ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player . She was a player in the senior national team and with this participant in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .

Career

Tina Schumacher, who plays in the attacking position, has already been active for various Swiss women's ice hockey clubs, including EV Zug , DHC Lyss , DEHC Basel (since the 2006/2007 season, dissolved in March 2007) and DEHC Biel .

At the B- World Women's Championship in Riga and Liepāja ( Latvia ) in 2000 , she won the silver medal with the Swiss national team. In December 2004 she reached third place at the European Cup with the EV Zug, in March 2005 she defended the Swiss championship title with her club and in April of the same year she won the gold medal with the team at the B World Championship in Romanshorn . In 2006 she took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Turin and reached seventh place with the team.

In the 2007/08 season she played in the first team at DEHC Biel . With the team she won the Swiss championship in performance class B , the second highest league in Swiss women's ice hockey. In the following season she joined the second team of DHC Langenthal .

Between 2009 and 2014 she played for the Friborg Ladies HC, also in the second division, before ending her career.
