Tan Sri Datuk Sir Tiong Hiew King , KBE , ( Chinese  張曉卿  /  张晓卿 , Pinyin Zhāng Xiǎoqīng , Jyutping Zoeng 1 Hiu 2 hung 1 * 1935 in Sibu, Sarawak ) is a Malaysian entrepreneur of Chinese origin. He is the founder and chairman of the Malaysian-Chinese corporate group Rimbunan Hijau Group ( 常青 集團  /  常青 集团 ) and one of the richest citizens of Malaysia.

In 1975 Tiong founded the Rimbunan Hijau Group, a timber company that extracts and processes lumber in rainforests. As a company in the wood industry, the company expanded over time to become a conglomerate and is now (as of 2018) the largest company in the country. The group operates in the areas of forestry (wood extraction and processing, afforestation), construction (real estate), media (newspaper publishing, printing), the food industry (palm oil production, fish farming) as well as insurance and banking. In the 30 years of its existence, Malaysia Today estimates that the company has generated around MYR 200 billion (approx. EUR 42.5 billion , as of 2004) after tax profits . The estimate was based on dividend payments, etc. In the Malaysian wood industry, traditionally only a small part of the profits generated is taxed. Most of the time, the widespread tax evasion generates far more profit than declared.

Tiong owns next to Guang Ming Daily ( 光明 日報  /  光明 日报 ) and, since 1988 , Sin Chew Daily ( 星洲日報  /  星洲日报 ), formerly Sin Chew Jit Poh (Malaysia) - two of the largest newspapers in the country, other newspapers such as the the National Daily in Papua New Guinea and, since 2007, the Ming Pao ( 明報  /  明报 ) in Hong Kong , which through the merger of three publishing companies of newspapers Sin Chew Daily , Nanyang Siang Pau ( 南洋商報  /  南洋商报 ) and Ming Pao the new company Media Chinese International Ltd. ( 世界 華文 媒體 有限公司  /  世界 华文 媒体 有限公司 ) came into being and came into the possession of Tiong. Tiong is thus the largest media entrepreneur of Chinese origin outside of China.
