The Tisovník is a 41 km long river and a tributary of the Ipeľ in the south-center of Slovakia .

The river rises in Javorie -Gebirge in the solid mass of the mountain Javorie ( 1044  m nm ) near the Weiler Blýskavica in the municipality Stará Huta , at an altitude of about 860  m nm and surrounded shortly after the mountain Panský Vŕšok and flows to southeast. From Horný Tisovník to Brusník the river corrects its direction to the south, from there to the confluence with the left-hand Ľuboreč at Dolná Strehová again to the southeast. At Muľa it takes up the Stará rieka on the right and 200 meters downstream it flows into the Ipeľ , which forms part of the Slovakia-Hungary border here.
