Titular diocese of Chersonesus in Creta
Chersonesus in Creta ( Italian : Chersoneso di Creta ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a submerged bishopric in the ancient city of the same name , which was in the Roman province of Creta et Cyrene or in the late antiquity of Creta . The bishopric was assigned to the church province of Gortyn .
