Tjärn is a village in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik in the Swedish province of Västernorrlands län and the historic province of Ångermanland , around 80 kilometers north-west of Örnsköldsvik as the crow flies . It is about two kilometers south of the border with Västerbotten County or the southernmost part of Lapland . Three kilometers northeast of the village is the Karpsjökasen mountain , at the foot of which the Moälven rises.
