Tjitze Vogel
Tjitze Vogel (born June 13, 1958 in Gorredijk ) is a Dutch jazz musician ( double bass , tuba ), composer and band leader .
Live and act
Tjitze Vogel has worked in the Dutch jazz scene a. a. with Frank Grasso , Loek Dikker , Burton Greene , Robin Kenyatta , Sal Nistico , Mathilde Santing and Anouar Brahem . With his VogelKwartet (including with Jasper Le Clerq , Lothar Ohlmeier , Joost Swinkels ) he has recorded a number of albums since the 1990s. In the field of jazz, Vogel participated in 13 recording sessions between 1985 and 2004. He also wrote the music for the documentary Eva Besnyö , de keurcollectie by Leo Erken and in 2017 (with Burton Greene) accompanied the singer Patty Waters .
