Tobias Bredohl

Tobias Bredohl (born June 1, 1974 in Münster ) is a German pianist and church musician . He lives in Dortmund .

education

In 1981 he received his first piano lessons. From 1988 he was a private student with Gregor Weichert and received composition and theory lessons from Harald Höfer . After graduating from high school in 1994, he began his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Department of Münster, with Gregor Weichert. In 1999 he passed the artistic maturity examination. He passed his concert exam in 2003.

Act

Since 1995 Tobias Bredohl has performed as a soloist all over Europe. He has performed with the Amadé Chamber Philharmonic and the State Orchestra Decin (Czech Republic) as well as with numerous other well-known orchestras. In 2000 he was a guest at the International Summer Festival in Ceský Krumlov (Czech Republic). As a chamber musician , he often works with the string quartet of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra . In 2002 he was the musical director of the musical Emil at the Hamburg Operettenhaus.

In addition to his work as a pianist, he works as a church musician and choir director. From 2009 to 2014 Bredohl was a lecturer at the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf , to which he now belongs as a teacher for special tasks .

Between May 20 and 27, 2018, he performed at the 11th International Chamber Music Festival at Cappenberg Castle near Lünen. The violinist Mirijam Contzen was the artistic director .

Prizes and awards

Bredohl received several recognitions for his artistic work. In his youth he received prizes at all levels in the field of piano at the Jugend musiziert competition from 1985 to 1992. He also received:
