Tobias Erler

Tobias Erler (born May 17, 1979 ) is a German racing cyclist .

At the beginning of his career, Erler won a total of six stages of the Tour de Taiwan , the overall ranking and one stage of the Tour de Korea and the German one-day race around the Sachsenring between 2003 and 2007 . In 2006 he drove for the Taiwanese Continental Team Giant Asia Racing Team and in the two following years for the German Team 3C Gruppe .

Erler interrupted his international career in 2009 in order to continue his teaching degree, which he started in 2003. After completing his studies, he received an offer to drive for the Iranian team Tabriz Petrochemical Team . He was active there for two years. At the Malaysian Tour de Langkawi 2010, he wore the overall leader's yellow jersey. It also won two stages of the International Presidency Tour .

He then worked for the Austrian Continental Team Arbö Gebrüder Weiss-Oberndorfer for two more years . In 2011 he became Austrian champion in the individual time trial , in which he was eligible to start as a member of an Austrian team, and won the overall ranking of the Tour of Thailand and two stages of the Tour de Korea . He then ended his international career and was only active in national competitions.
