Tobias Freudenberg

Tobias Freudenberg (* 1973 ) is a German lawyer and journalist . He has been editor-in-chief of Neue Juristische Wochenschrift since 2010 .

Career

From 2000 to 2010 Freudenberg held various positions for the Dr. Otto Schmidt works in Cologne, temporarily as deputy editor-in-chief of the specialist journal Anwaltsreport , which existed from 1997 to 2011 , and later as editor-in-chief of the magazines Die Aktiengesellschaft and GmbH-Rundschau .

In May 2010, the publisher CH Beck announced that the then 37-year-old Freudenberg will take over the editorial management of the Neue Juristische Wochenschrift (NJW) on August 1st . The previous editor Achim Schunder became head of the Frankfurt branch of Beck-Verlag. In addition to the NJW, Freudenberg is also responsible for the legal policy magazine .

In addition to his journalistic activities, Freudenberg is a member of the advisory board of Christian Wolf's Institute for Litigation and Legal Law (IPA) at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover , the editorial commission of the German specialist press and the jury for the journalists' prize of the Data Protection Foundation. He moderates at specialist events and congresses, such as the “Soldan Moot” event, a competition for law students, the “German Lawyers' Day”, “Corporate Lawyers' Congress” and “Lawyers' Future Congress”. He also published a number of articles in the Handelsblatt between 2006 and 2010 .
