The Aktiengesellschaft (AG) is a legal journal that has been published since 1956, initially by Trede & Co. (Hamburg), and since 1976 by Dr. Otto Schmidt ( Cologne ). At the beginning of the 50th year (beginning of 2005) the previously monthly publication was changed to a fortnightly publication; a double edition appears only in the months of January and July. The AG is a special magazine for all questions of the stock corporation , in particular for German, European and international company and capital market law. Each issue is divided into a scientific part and a current special part ("AG report"). The scientific part includes a. Articles and comments as well as current case law with a stock corporation law impact. The news-oriented AG report deals with current issues, results and developments on the stock and capital markets . The AG has been a compulsory listing for the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since the beginning of 2000 .

The managing editors of the magazine are Heinz-Dieter Assmann and Mathias Habersack . They are supported by Alfred Bergmann , Volker Emmerich , Stephan Harbarth , Jens Koch , Hans-Joachim Mertens , Uwe H. Schneider , Jochen Vetter and Wolfgang Zöllner .
