Volker Emmerich

Volker Emmerich (born February 28, 1938 in Nowawes (today Potsdam-Babelsberg )) is a German lawyer and professor emeritus at the University of Bayreuth .

Life

In 1957, Emmerich began studying law at the University of Saarbrücken , which he completed in 1960 with the first state examination in law. He then became a research assistant at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In 1965 he passed the second state examination in law.

The following year, he was one of Ernst-Joachim Mestmäcker supervised work, "The ratio of the side-effects of vindication was the subject to other claims," the Dr. iur. PhD. Subsequently, Emmerich was a research assistant at the Westphalian Wilhelms University, where he completed his habilitation in 1969 with an investigation into commercial law in public companies.

In 1969 he accepted a position at the newly founded University of Bielefeld . In 1981 he moved to the University of Bayreuth , where he stayed until his retirement in 2006.

From 1973 Emmerich worked as a part-time judge at the OLG Hamm and from 1981 at the OLG Nuremberg . He is co-editor of the new magazine for tenancy and housing law .
