Tobias Heinemann (born February 19, 1971 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German rail and logistics manager.

Life

After completing his studies, he completed his legal training at the Superior Court in Berlin from 1996 to 1999 .

Act

Since 1999, the attorney with a doctorate has worked in various functions at Deutsche Bahn AG . Initially he worked for DB Regio AG in the field of corporate development, later in corporate marketing and then again at DB Regio in offer management. From 2003 he was the overall marketing manager of DB Regio AG in Frankfurt am Main .

During this time, he largely negotiated the new transport contracts for DB Regio AG with clients in the local rail transport sector. Since May 2007 he has headed the S-Bahn Berlin GmbH as spokesman for the management . During Heinemann's tenure, the S-Bahn-GmbH undertook a series of austerity measures based on the requirements of the DB Group and led the S-Bahn Berlin into its worst crisis since post-war history. The effects of these measures on passenger operations were criticized as early as 2008. In the following year there were a number of serious operational disruptions in the Berlin S-Bahn system, but Heinemann u. a. was held responsible. For this reason, Heinemann and the other members of the management of the Berlin S-Bahn were dismissed on July 2, 2009.

After Heinemann was initially on leave with continued payment of his salary, he later left the DB Group entirely. From autumn 2010 to 2014, Tobias Heinemann was Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer of the Rift Valley Railways Consortium, responsible for the modernization of rail traffic on the Uganda Railway between Mombasa and Kampala . From December 2010, Heinemann was in charge of negotiations with the lenders and the concession agency for the financing of the projects. He lived with his family in Nairobi during this time.

From January 1, 2015 to January 31, 2018, Heinemann was Chief Commercial Officer at Transdev GmbH (formerly Veolia Verkehr), responsible for marketing and sales, and since February 1, 2018, he has been the management spokesman of Transdev.
