Tobias Jersak

Tobias Jersak (* 1972 ) is a German historian who focuses on European history from the 18th to 20th centuries. Century.

Life

From 1993 to 1997 he studied Protestant theology , history, philosophy and computer science in Stuttgart, Tübingen, Mainz, Münster and Cambridge, where he obtained a Ph.D. acquired.

His thesis, made in 1999, that Hitler reacted to the Atlantic Charter of August 1941 with a decision on the Holocaust, has meanwhile found its way into historical standard works and school books despite isolated criticism.

From 2000/01 he was a research associate at the University of Münster and a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart .

From autumn 2005 he got involved with street children in Saint Petersburg .
