Thomas "Tom" James (born April 17, 1987 in Rhymney , Caerphilly ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used on the position of the outer three quarters . He plays for the Cardiff Blues and has so far made five appearances for the Welsh national team .

Jones joined the Blues in 2006, having previously played for the Cardiff RFC and the Merthyr RFC . He played for the U20 national team, the 7-man team and represented Wales in the 1500 m athletics . On his debut for the Blues against Edinburgh , he made his first attempt . In the summer of 2007 he was nominated for the Welsh national team for the first time and made his debut as a substitute against England .
