Tom Krause
Tom Gunnar Krause , also Thomas Krause ( July 5, 1934 in Helsinki - December 6, 2013 in Hamburg ) was a Finnish opera and lieder singer ( bass baritone ).
Life
The son of an insurance director spoke seven languages fluently and initially studied medicine in Helsinki. From 1956 he studied singing in Hamburg and at the Vienna Music Academy . Krause was particularly known for his Mozart interpretations and his recitals. He has participated several times at the Bayreuth Festival and the Salzburg Festival .
