Tom Lüneburger (born January 14, 1973 in Potsdam ) is a German musician who became known as the singer of the rock band Myballoon and is now a solo singer-songwriter .

Life

Lüneburger lived in Berlin-Friedrichshain from the age of 2 and moved to his father in the western part of the city in 1978 . After moving several times, he grew up in the Black Forest near Freiburg im Breisgau . At the age of 22 he returned to Berlin, where he founded the band Myballoon in 1996 with Christoph Clemens and Benjamin Sommerfeld. After two albums and a Comet award in the “Newcomer” category in 2000, the band split up in 2006. Lüneburger has been active as a solo artist since 2009 and has released three albums so far (as of 2017). With the single We Are One , a duet with the Silbermond front woman Stefanie Kloß , he reached the German single charts in November 2011.
