Tom Walsh (born July 11, 1996 in Troon ) is a Scottish football player .

Career

Tom Walsh joined the Glasgow Rangers Youth Academy in 2007 . In this he played in league games for the various junior teams as well as games in the Glasgow Cup . On December 8, 2012, the then 16-year-old Walsh made his debut under team manager Ally McCoist for the Rangers in the Third Division against Stirling Albion . Until the end of the season there was no further use of Walsh for the team, nonetheless, the team rose to the newly formed Scottish League One at the end of the season . In the promotion season , another year later, he remained without any commitment for the professional team. From September 2014 to January 2015 he played on loan at the Scottish third division club FC Stenhousemuir . After his return, Walsh came to his first appearance (since December 2012) on March 10, 2015 under interim coach Kenny McDowall against Queen of the South . Four days later Walsh was under the newly signed coach Stuart McCall for the first time in the starting line-up of the Gers in the second division game against Livingston FC . At the end of the season he came to a total of eight league games. In January 2016, the 19-year-old was loaned to FC Dumbarton until the end of the 2015/16 season . In July 2016 Walsh was awarded to FC St. Mirren for six months .

National team

Tom Walsh played in international matches for the junior teams of Scotland from 2011 . He made his debut in the U-15 national team . This was followed by missions for the U-16 , U-17 and U-19 of Scotland.
