Tom Winters

Thomas "Tom" Winters is a retired American racing car driver .

Career

Tom Winters was active as a sports car driver in motorsport in the 1970s and 1980s. He started mainly in the IMSA GTP series and made his debut in 1979 in the Sebring 12-hour race . He once again drove the endurance race at Sebring International Raceway , with the best placement in the final classification in 1987 when he was 15th in the overall standings. His best result in the Daytona 24-hour race came in 1980 when he finished 17th in the final standings.

He was once at the start of the Le Mans 24-hour race . For the Alméras brothers he reached 18th place in the overall ranking.
