Toma Jedrlinic

Toma Jedrlinić (born September 29, 1798 in Castelmuschio , on the island of Krk , today Croatia , † August 11, 1855 in Dubrovnik ) was a Roman Catholic priest , Bishop of Dubrovnik .

Life

Toma Jedrlinić was ordained a priest on October 30, 1825 .

By imperial decree of November 11, 1842, he was appointed Bishop of Dubrovnik. This appointment was confirmed by Pope Gregory XVI. on January 30th, 1843. He received the episcopal ordination on October 25th, 1843 by the Patriarch of Venice , Giacomo Cardinal Monico . As Bishop of Dubrovnik he was according to an apostolic letter of September 12, 1839 from Pope Gregory XVI. at the same time apostolic administrator of the diocese of Trebinje-Mrkan .

Bishop Toma Jedrlinić died at the age of fifty-seventh, in the thirtieth year of priesthood and in the twelfth year of the episcopate, in Dubrovnik and was buried there.
