Tomas Manco (born January 19, 1988 in Brezno , Czechoslovakia ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Sydney Ice Dogs in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2016 .

Career

Tomas Manco, who was born in what was then Czechoslovakia , immigrated to Australia with his parents as a child . He began his career as a hockey player with the Sydney Bears , for whom he played in the Australian Ice Hockey League as a 16-year-old . In 2006 he moved to local rivals Sydney Ice Dogs , for whom he was on the ice until 2013. In his last season he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship, with the Ice Dogs . Subsequently, his contract was not renewed there and he suspended the 2014 season. For the 2015 season he was signed by CBR Brave , the club from Philipp , a suburb of Canberra , founded the previous year, and made his comeback in the AIHL. After he succeeded there, he got his ex-club, the Ice Dogs, a new contract in 2016.

International

For Australia , Manco took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in Division III 2005 and Division II 2006 and the U20 Junior World Championship in Division II 2006 . At the U18 World Cup in 2005, he and his team were promoted to Division II.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2010 , 2011 and 2013 and in the World Championships in Division I in 2009 and 2012 .
