The Tommelen ( Norwegian for thumb ) is a rocky outcrop in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In Gjelsvikfjella, it looms near the troll station .
Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute named it descriptively in 2007 after the original name Jutulkuken (Norwegian for giant penis ) was rejected as too vulgar.
