Toni Pichler
Toni Pichler (born October 27, 1963 in Zell am See ) is a former board member and manager of the Salzburg football club SV Austria Salzburg .
Life
Pichler, son of the former mayor of Zell am See, completed his training as a telecommunications technician in Zell am See and took part in the HAK evening matura as a second educational path . In 1999 he was appointed Marketing Manager at SV Austria Salzburg by the President of SV Casino Austria Salzburg , Rudi Quehenberger . In the first few years of this activity, Pichler worked at the same time for the Telemundi marketing agency in Monte Carlo and Vienna . In January 1993 Pichler took over the management of marketing / administration and organization at SV Casino Austria Salzburg.
In the spring of 1994 he opened the first Austrian fan shop in the Lehen stadium . Between 1993 and 1997 he organized 27 European Cup games for SV Casino and SV Wüstenrot Austria Salzburg.
In the summer of 1997, Pichler moved to the Kirch Group to set up the digital platform DF1 . In the autumn of 1998 he went to Frank Stronach's Magna group and took over the position of managing director at SMI and Sport Wetten GmbH. In January 2000, after the change of ownership in Salzburg Sport AG , he took over the agendas of the sole director and in March 2000 he was elected chairman of Austria Salzburg. Toni Pichler held the position until March 2003. During this time he made preparations to build a new stadium for the 2008 European Football Championship . At the opening of the European Championship Stadium, Pichler received an honorary cup from Franz Schausberger for special services to the State of Salzburg . At his own request, Pichler ended his position on the board of directors on December 31, 2003.
Since January 2004 he has been working as an independent management consultant with a focus on project management , foreign trade and marketing management. Toni Pichler also founded the “ Sport Business Austria ” platform in 2006 and initiated the presentation of the Diskus Award .
