Toni Tauler
Antonio Tauler Llull (born April 11, 1974 in Palma ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Athletic career
Toni Tauler started his career at Ros Mary-Amica Chips in 1998 . In 1999 he moved to Kelme-Costa Blanca and won a stage of the Tour of Murcia . He then took part in the Tour de France four times in a row and moved to Illes Balears after five years . In 2006 Tauler drove for the Spanish Professional Continental Team 3 Molinos Resort . In the same year he became Spanish time trial champion, after having become vice-champion in this discipline in 2002 and 2003. He then concentrated on track cycling and won podium places in Spanish championships and track cycling world cups .
Tauler competed twice in the Olympic Games in 2000 and 2008 : in 2000 in Sydney he was twelfth in the team pursuit , together with Miguel Alzamora , Isaac Gálvez and José Francisco Jarque ; in the singles pursuit he finished 16th. Eight years later, in Beijing , he competed in the singles pursuit and came in sixth. In the two-man team , he won the silver medal together with Joan Llaneras .
In 2010 he was tested positive for EPO in a doping control and banned for two years.
