Tony Sbarbaro
Anthony "Tony" Sbarbaro (called "Spargo" * 27. June 1897 in New Orleans , † the thirtieth October 1969 in Queens , New York City ) was an American jazz - drummer of the New Orleans Jazz .
Tony Sbarbaro played with Ernest Giardina and George Brunies and was a member of the Original Dixieland Jass Band in Chicago from 1915 to 1925 and again in their re-formation for recordings in 1935 to 1943. He was also involved in recordings by Eddie Condon and Phil Napoleon . Then he played u. a. with Miff Mole , Phil Napoleon, Katherine Dunham, Russell Moore, Tony Parenti and Pee Wee Erwin (from 1954 to 1959) and recorded with Max Kaminsky and Eddie Condon.
He also played kazoo .
