Toon Tellegen

Antonius Otto Hermannus "Toon" Tellegen (born November 18, 1941 in Den Briel ) is a Dutch children's author.
Life
Tellegen studied medicine in Utrecht . He first worked as a doctor in Kenya for several years, then settled in Amsterdam. He was first known for his poems, today he is one of the most famous authors in the Netherlands. In 1997 he received the Theo Thijssenprijs, endowed with 60,000 euros .
