Toporiwzi ( Ukrainian Топорівці ; Russian Топоровцы Toporowzy , Romanian Toporăuți , German (until 1918) Toporoutz ) is a village in Bukovina in the center of the Ukrainian Chernivtsi Oblast with about 4,400 inhabitants (2004).
The village is the only village in the district of the same name in the north of Novoselyzja Rajon and is located on the T – 26–03 territorial road and on the 29 km long Hukiw ( Гуків ), a left tributary of the Prut . The village is located 20 km northeast of the oblast capital Chernivtsi and 34 km northwest of the Novoselytsia district center .
The building complex of the Church of the Prophet Elias, completed in 1914, is a listed cultural heritage of Ukraine.
