Gate André Johnsen

Tor André Johnsen (born November 25, 1968 ) is a Norwegian politician of the right-wing Fremskrittspartiet (FrP). He has been a member of parliament in Storting since 2013 .

Life

During his time outside politics, Johnsen studied, worked and lived in Germany, the United States and Russia, among others. He became a FrP member in 1985 and was then politically active at the local level. So sat in the local parliaments of Ringsaker , Hamar and Stange . In 1999 Johnsen was the first MP in the Fylkesting of what was then Hedmark Province . There he was re-elected several times and he finally left parliament in 2015.

In the parliamentary elections in 2013 , he entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time , after having missed entry three times before and each time he was representative of the Vararese . He represents the constituency of Hedmark in parliament and initially became a member of the Labor and Social Committee before moving to the Transport and Communications Committee in October 2015 during the current legislative period. He stayed there after the 2017 election .

criticism

In 2015, the head of the Labor and Social Committee declared that Johnsen would only be allowed to participate in international trips of the committee in which all members participate. Thus, he should not be able to represent the committee alone or almost alone. Earlier, Johnsen had ignored a warning from the domestic intelligence service Politiets sikkerhetstjeneste (PST) not to meet with certain employees of the Russian embassy.
