Look at Torgny

Torgny is a village in the Belgian municipality of Rouvroy and is located in the Wallonia region in the province of Luxembourg . Torgny is the southernmost place in Belgium and at the same time the most distant place from the capital Brussels (210 km). From here it is 11 km to Virton and 38 km to Arlon . Until the municipal merger in 1977, the place was an independent municipality.

Torgny has a characteristic microclimate that differs from the cool climate of the Ardennes to the north . Sufficient warmth and a calcareous soil are prerequisites that have led to small-scale viticulture being practiced here .

Typical for Torgny are houses made of yellow sandstone with Roman roof tiles, which give the place a Mediterranean flair. Since 1996 Torgny has been on the list of the 24 most beautiful villages in Wallonia (" Les Plus Beaux Villages de Wallonie  ").
