The Barnaby family gets caught in a tornado and their father dies. Thirty years later, their son Josh is a cameraman. His boss Ernie sends him and his colleague Nickie to Romania to report on the first world conference of Roma and Sinti . The beautiful gypsy Irena reads the cards for Josh and recognizes gloomy signs. Her people are threatened by a predicted recurring tornado, the Meta Tempesta , which a Satan cult conjures up in mysterious ceremonies. The two journalists are investigating the matter. A minister pretending to be a Roma and Sinti benefactor turns out to be Adrian, the leader of the occult brotherhood. For the time being, the gypsies get to safety in a tunnel before the deadly storm. Josh is the chosen one by the amulet he received from his father , so only he can save the gypsies. He faces Adrian in a decisive battle. Eventually this is carried away by the cyclone, and his followers are killed too. The raging storm is over and Josh gives Irena the amulet that actually belongs to her people and is supposed to protect her from tornadoes in the future.
