Torneybach near Neuwalde

The Torneybach is a tributary of the Tollense in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It rises as a nameless river north of Schossow in the municipality of Tützpatz in the Mecklenburg Lake District and flows first in an easterly, then in a south-easterly direction. From Barkow it is called Torneybach, where it changes its course to the northeast and then flows south from Pripsleben to Neuwalde in an easterly direction, from there to the southeast through the municipality of Altentreptow . After passing the St. Georg district of Altentreptow, the Torneybach reaches the Tollense lowland north of the Klosterberg and flows into the Tollense after a total length of around 11 kilometers.

In the Pripsleben district of Neuwalde, at Loickenzin and at Altentreptow, the Torneybach drove water mills into the 20th century .
