geography

The Tornowshof is located 800 meters southeast of Dobbrun in the Dobbrun district , but belongs to Osterburg, which is about four kilometers northeast.

history

In 1744 the falcon farmer in Seehausen used a farm in Horst . In 1833 the farm was called Horst in Dobbrun . On the Urmes table sheet from 1843 the place is labeled as Die Horst / Nicolaus Falk from Dobbrun , on the Mes table sheet from 1873 as Die Horst . Until 1997 the place was no longer named on maps or in directories. On the table sheet 3136 Seehausen [Altmark] from 1997 the Tornowshof is shown at the place . In 2003 on the digital map of the Top50 CD Saxony-Anhalt Tornowshof , so also in 2008 in the directory of municipalities and parts of municipalities .

In the sub-directory of the state of Saxony-Anhalt from 2006, the place is called Tornow Hof , which is different from the top 50 place names.

The historian Peter P. Rohrlach writes: "The farm is probably identical to the Freihof under Dobbrun". He refers to the information provided by Friedrich Wilhelm August Bratring and notes that the courtyard was not designated as a special place to live after 1833.

Incorporations

It can be seen from measuring table sheets that the farm used to belong to the Dobbrun community, which was incorporated into Osterburg in 1993. The yard was probably assigned to the Osterburg district of the city of Osterburg in 1993.
