Torsten Fließbach

Torsten Fließbach (* 1944 in Lauenburg i. Pom. , Administrative district Köslin ) is a German university professor for theoretical physics .

Life

After graduating from high school in Munich in 1963, Fließbach studied physics at the Technical University of Munich . He was a scholarship holder of the study donation of the German people . The diploma he received 1968. 1971 Fließbach was with a thesis on the optical potential and the density distribution for the elastic scattering of heavy ions at the Technical University of Munich doctorate . This was followed by a research stay at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley ( USA ) with a grant from the German Research Foundation . In 1977 Torsten Fließbach completed his habilitation with a research project on the influence of the core structure on alpha decay and alpha transfer. In 1979 he received a reputation as a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Siegen ; In 2009 he retired .

Torsten Fließbach is married and has two sons. The lawyer Wilhelm Fliessbach and the translator Holger Fliessbach were his father and brother.
