Thorax and tegulae are brown in front and pale yellow behind. The forewings are pale yellow, a brown basal spot is between Kostalader and Kostalfalten. An irregularly wide trapezoidal brown band begins at the Kostalader and reaches the inner edge of the wing just before the middle.

A brown band that runs diagonally outwards is located in the apical area. The wing inner edge is often provided with interspersed brown scales on the wing base and on the apical wing half . The fringed scales are brownish on the Costa and gray on the wing tip. The hind wings shine gray-white.
