Tortilia trigonella is a butterfly from the family of Stathmopodidae .

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 9 millimeters. T. trigonella differs from Tortilia flavella by a brown Kostalfleck on the wing base of the forewings and the pale yellow base segment of the antennae . The underside of the forewings shows the same brown markings as the upper side of the wing, but is much weaker. In females, the genitals are similar to those of Tortilia graeca , they differ by the significantly smaller signum and a long and a short row of spines on the corpus bursae. The genitals of the males have not yet been described.

distribution

Tortilia trigonella occurs in Morocco southwest of Marrakech , in the Great Atlas near Goundafa and in the Middle Atlas near Azrou .

biology

The biology of the species is so far unknown. The moths were caught in June.

The type locality is located southwest of Marrakech in Morocco (Ijjoukak).
