Tortured is an Australian death metal band from Canberra that was formed in 2006.
history
The band was founded in late 2006. A first demo followed in early 2009 . Performances were also held in Sydney , Melbourne , Gold Coast and Brisbane . In 2011 and 2012 the band could be seen at the Slaughterfest . In 2011 the debut album A Lesson in Holocaust was released via Grindhead Records . Later in 2012 there were a few gigs with Warbringer before a concert with Carcass in Sydney in mid-2013 . After appearing in the same year with Cock and Ball Torture in Sydney and Canberra, the line-up of the group changed. This was followed by other concerts. In 2014 Tortured could be experienced live together with Coroner , Sinister and Carcass. She also recorded an EP , which was not released due to the departure of guitarist Marcus Honeyman.
style
According to Brian Giffin in his Encyclopedia of Australian Heavy Metal , the band plays classic death metal in a very brutal style. Metalasfuck.net's Micky Strong found that A Lesson in Holocaust contains aggressive death metal. The aggressiveness is generated by a double bass- heavy drumming, fast electric guitars and the aggressive shouts of the singer Brendan Ford.
