Tour Gloriette
The Tour Gloriette in Arbois , a French town in the Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region , was built in the 16th century. The tower has been a protected architectural monument ( Monument historique ) since 1927 .
The tower was originally built in the 13th century as an important element of the 1.2 km long city fortifications of Arbois. The tower was rebuilt after severe damage from the Cuisance flood in 1503. The square tower is 17 m high and 11 m wide.
