The Tourmente is a river in France that runs through the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitania regions. It rises in the hamlet of Lagardelle , in the northern municipality of Turenne , generally drains in a south-easterly direction and flows into the Dordogne as a right tributary after 27 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Martel and Floirac . In its lowest section, the Tourmente divides into two branches that flow out about a kilometer apart. The river valley is largely used by the Brive-la-Gaillarde railway line to Figeac . On its way, the Tourmente crosses the Corrèze and Lot departments .
