Toy Warrior - The Toy Warrior (Original title: The Toy Warrior ) is a South Korean animated film with elements of computer animation from 2005 by director Kyungwon Lim .

action

Jinoo is a boy with a flowering imagination. He mainly deals with toys, with which he even speaks, which is why he is laughed at by his classmates and is usually only called "toy boy". Jinoo has no human friends, his best friend is his backpack Ping. One day when he was late for school again, he had to detain until 3 p.m. This is particularly annoying for Jinoo, as his new favorite toy is to be delivered on this day: the toy knight.

After school, Jinoo immediately runs into the toy store to see Mr. Gramps, who is just unpacking the box delivered by the fantasy toy company . To the disappointment of Jinoo, they find a note in the box that the production of the toy knight has been stopped due to a production error - the head could come loose and the batteries could fall out. Instead, a new doll was produced and delivered by Princess Sherbet in school uniform.

At night, a doll of Princess Sherbet comes to life in the toy store. She is the ruler of Toyland, which is currently threatened by dark forces, which is why she is looking for a prince and hero in the real world who can save Toyland. The next morning she is introduced to Jinoo's class as the new Sherry student. For Sherbet, it quickly becomes clear that only the heroic and handsome Jason can be the perfect hero prince. As she is about to bring Jason, the chosen one, into contact with a magical blue knight stone, Jinoo intervenes and accidentally touches the stone. He is then transformed into a toy doll in the real world and teleported to toy land at the same time. Angered, Sherbet locks the Jinoo doll in her locker at school.

When Jinoo wakes up in Toyland, his backpack Ping comes up to him alive and talks to him. He later meets Princess Sherbet, who doesn't believe that he should be the chosen hero who can save Toyland. But then Ping explains that Jinoo once rescued it from the garbage can and repaired it. RJ, a police car that can transform into a robot, steps forward and explains that he has fixed its headlights. After more and more toys speak of their rescue by Jinoo, the toys celebrate him. The princess's happy watch then declares that she has found her prince, because the princess will later marry the hero prince. But Sherbet doesn't want to hear about it and doesn't believe that it can be Jinoo.

When a metal monster threatens the toys, RJ tries to arrest it and the princess attacks it with her angel scepter , which uses a yo-yo as a weapon. After both fail, Jinoo realizes that due to the power of the knight's stone in Toyland, he can transform into any toy. He decides to become a toy knight and now has rocket-propelled armor and the sword of justice. With this he attacks the metal monster and destroys it.

The toy land is also called the land of living dreams because in the middle there is the source of the imagination, which fills the toy land with life through the wishes and dreams of children in the real world. Sherbet succeeds in sending Jinoo back into the real world, where he is supposed to hunt down Ciao, the messenger of evil. But in the real world, Jinoo is just a young boy and is handed over to his parents by the school principal. He escapes into the toy store, where he asks Mr. Gramps to take care of his doll - shortly afterwards he disappears into toy land. There the dark forces have the land under their control. Jinoo, Ping, Sherbet and RJ are captured and taken to a fortress where the new ruler of the land of darkness is. Surprisingly, he turns out to be the actual toy knight. He was upset that he was not allowed to be a toy in the real world due to a design flaw and then refused to leave toy land and make room for new toys. He catapults Jinoo back into the real world and seals the source of fantasy in Toyland. As a result, the toys will disappear over time. With the siphoned energy from the source, he wants to tear down the border between toy land and the real world and become real there as a toy knight.

In the real world, all children have lost their imaginations by now. Sherbet and RJ gather their last strength in toy land and transfer them to Ping, which is then sent into the real world. There he awakens Jinoo from his indifference, who in turn awakens the children in school. But the sinister toy knight has already soaked up so much energy in Toy Land that he manages to switch to the real world in larger than life size. Even though Jinoo is not a hero here, just a normal boy, they believe in him. Since Jinoo knows everything about the toy knight, he also knows its weak point. He turns his head, whereupon his batteries fall out and he is defeated. At school, Jinoo gets top marks for his essay on his adventures. In Toyland, he is crowned Prince Heroes and gets a kiss from Sherbet. The now peaceful toy knight finally thanks Jinoo for fixing his neck and now his head is stuck.
