Toyoko Yoshino
Toyoko Yoshino ( Japanese 吉野 ト ヨ 子 , Yoshino Toyoko; born April 23, 1920 in Abashiri , † January 24, 2015 in Kawaguchi ) was a Japanese discus thrower , shot putter and javelin thrower .
At the Asian Games in New Delhi in 1951 , she managed a triple victory in discus throw, shot put and javelin throw. In 1952 she was fourth in the discus throw at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .
In 1954 she defended her titles in discus throw and shot put at the Asian Games in Manila . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , she was eliminated in qualifying discus throw.
She set her personal best in the discus throw of 48.30 m on April 30, 1956 in Urawa .
