The Trakarding Glacier is a glacier in the Rolwaling Himal region of Nepal , in the Himalaya Mountains. It was originally connected to the higher Drolambaogletscher via a glacier break, which melted in 2016. The path leads over the Trakarding Glacier to the Tashi Lapcha Pass and on to Solukhumbu . Originally the path went along the southern moraine, which is no longer passable due to erosion, so that the almost completely rubble-covered glacier now has to be walked directly.
Drain
As it melts, the glacier flows into the Tsho Rolpa - Glacier Edge Lake, which in turn drains into the Rolwaling Chu .
