Léo Sébastien Lacroix (born February 27, 1992 in Lausanne ) is a Swiss football player .

Career

society

By 2016, he played for FC Sion , the Sion he completed 78 games in the Super League . With FC Sion, he won the Swiss Cup in 2015, playing through Basel in the final. He then moved to France to Saint-Étienne in Ligue 1 .

On August 10, 2018, Lacroix moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for Hamburger SV on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season . He completed 16 second division games for HSV, where he scored his only goal on the last day of the game. Under coaches Christian Titz and Hannes Wolf , he was just a reservist behind Rick van Drongelen and David Bates and at times behind the initially long-term injured Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Gideon Jung . Only in the final phase of the season was Lacroix able to earn a regular place and played the last 6 games in the starting line-up. He scored his only goal in the HSV jersey on matchday 34 in a 3-0 home win against MSV Duisburg . Lacroix left the club when his contract ended.

National team

He completed four missions with the Swiss national U-21 team . He received his first national team line-up for the World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Andorra on October 7 and 10, 2016, respectively, but has not yet played.

Lacroix made his national team debut on November 14, 2018 in the 1-0 loss to Qatar .
