The transformer house on the Anger is a monument in the small town of Uebigau-Wahrenbrück in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg .

Description and history

The building can be found in the Uebigau-Wahrenbrück district of Langennaundorf, not far from the village church . The transformer house is a plastered building with a mansard roof and a brick construction made of sand-lime brick . The medium voltage was originally supplied via an overhead line , as of 2010 it was converted to a less maintenance-intensive underground cable connection . The low-voltage lines are still designed as overhead lines. The construction of the building is dated to 1922. Landelektronik GmbH in Halle was responsible for the design . It is recorded in the local monument register under registration number 09135820.
