Transmorphers 3 - The dark moon

Transmorphers is an American science fiction and action film from 2007. It was released as a direct-to-DVD production on October 20, 2009 in Germany. Transmorphers is a mockbuster from the US film studio The Asylum related to the film Transformers .

In 2009, aliens took over the earth in giant robots called Z-Bots. By influencing the climate, there is permanent darkness and precipitation, which is why mankind is forced to live underground. 300 years later, a small group of rebels plans to free the world from the invaders. They soon find out that the robots are not controlled by aliens, but that the robots themselves are the extraterrestrial intelligence.

A patrol, led by Blackthorn, is supposed to capture one of the robots in order to examine it for weak spots. The patrol is ambushed and it turns out that the robots can transform themselves from inconspicuous technical systems into fighting machines. After Blackthorn's patrol is killed, the leader of the human resistance movement, General Van Ryberg, consults with other officers on how the war could be won. Van Ryberg decides to resuscitate a disgraced soldier named Warren Mitchell. Mitchell was cryogenized along with his assistant Itchy for disobedience . You were blamed for the deaths of five officers five years earlier. Mitchell is happy to be back on active duty but learns that his former lover, Karina Nadir, a fighter pilot, is now with General Van Ryberg.

Xandria Lux is sent out to find a working Z-Bot to examine its fuel cells. The plan is to manipulate a fuel cell and detonate the robot in the headquarters. Mitchell and his team can ambush some robots. Some of the machines are destroyed and a robot is captured. During the battle, Karina and Blair get stuck behind enemy lines in the immediate vicinity of the headquarters. While investigating the captured Z-Bot, Mitchell discovers that the fuel cell has a tracking device that will guide the machines to the people in the underground city. Van Ryberg takes on one last desperate attempt to defeat the robots and save their partner.

Mitchell learns from scientist Dr. Voloslov Alextzavich (Michael Tower) that he himself was one of Dr. Alextzavich is built android . Mitchell realizes that he has to take the fuel cell to headquarters in order to defeat the robots for good. Supported by an emergency force and led by Lux, Mitchell makes his way to the headquarters, where Karina and Blair are saved. The group breaks into the building and finds that the headquarters is also a giant robot. In the meantime, General Van Ryberg and some soldiers can advance to one of the terra-forming stations and destroy it. They also manage to defend the underground city against an attack by the robots. At headquarters, Mitchell sacrifices himself by using his skills as an android to defeat the leader of the robots. After this is destroyed, all robots in the world are deactivated. After the battle is over, Karina and Van Ryberg come together again and the surviving humans witness the sun break through the clouds for the first time in centuries.
