The Transshelf is a semi-submersible ship operated by the Dutch heavy lift shipping company Dockwise Shipping .

details

The Transshelf was built in 1987 on behalf of the Soviet Union at the Wärtsilä shipyard in Helsinki. The Transshelf was classified by the register of the USSR with the class designation KM J13 2 A2 LRS ✠ 100 A1, Ice Class Id + Non-perishable cargoes, LMC-CCS. Until 2004, the ship was managed by the state - including the Ministry of Gas. Since 2002 the classification of the ship has been with the Lloyd's Register of Shipping .

On June 1, 2004, Rosnefteflot brought the Transshelf briefly under the Cypriot flag and on June 16, the Dockwise shipping company acquired the ship and has been using it since then under the flag of the Netherlands Antilles with its home port Willemstad . In April 2009 it was the first ship of its kind to transport two submarines at the same time.

The IMO number is 8512279 , the current callsign is PJRR .
