Traudel rapeseed

Traudel Maria Weustenfeld (born November 17, 1954 in Mülheim an der Ruhr , born Traudel Maria Rübsamen , later Traudel Maria Rübsamen-Weustenfeld ) is a German botanist . The focus of her work was mykoheterotrophic plants, on which she wrote several standard works.

Life

In June 1974 she passed her high school diploma, began studying biology at the Ruhr University in Bochum in September of that year and graduated in August 1980. In January 1981, she began work on her dissertation, which she published in 1985 1986 successfully completed. After their marriage in 1985, she published since 1991 under the name Rübsamen-Weustenfeld and since 1998 as Traudel Weustenfeld. Then she retired from botany and began to work as a nutritionist and alternative practitioner .

Services

Rübsamen co-authored a paper on the vascular flora of Tenerife in 1982 . In the same year she also began working in the team of Paul JM Maas and his wife Hiltje Maas-van de Kamer , which in 1986 resulted in the co-authorship of two monographs on the Triuridaceae and Burmanniaceae .

In the same year her dissertation “Morphological, embryological and systematic investigations on Burmanniaceae and Corsiaceae (with a view of the Orchidaceae-Apostasioideae)” was published . It opened a series of identical studies on other families of mycoheterotrophic plants. In 1991 the work “Morphological, embryological and systematic investigations on Triuridaceae” followed , and in 1994 “On the embryology, morphology and systematic position of Geosiris aphylla Baillon (Monocotyledoneae-Geosiridaceae / Iridaceae)” , all of these works are standard works.

Their last publication was a revision of the Triuridaceae in volume 3 of "The Families and Genera of Vascular Plants" in 1998 together with Hiltje Maas-van de Kamer .
