The Traumfabrik is a cultural company that offers stage shows, individual show concepts and an annual workshop festival in the field of art, culture and movement. The Traumfabrik is a GmbH & Co KG company based in Munich and Regensburg. In 1980 the dream factory was founded by the German choreographer and teacher Rainer Pawelke as a theater project.

description

The dream factory became known through the design of large cultural events such as B. the opening ceremony of the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart in 1989 and the “German Day” at the World Exhibition Expo 92 in Seville on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany.

As a show theater, the dream factory combines modern technology - e.g. B. large-scale projections and computer-controlled plasma suits for dancers - with old theater genres such as mask, shadow and black theater and the newer object theater . The dream factory has its own ensemble. External dancers, acrobats, artists and companies are also integrated into the various productions, such as B. the Stuttgart Ballet , Fenfire, Jonglissimo , Catwall Acrobats, and many more. Every year the dream factory can be seen between Christmas and New Year in the Audimax of the University of Regensburg. A tour in selected cities has followed since 2010.

In the advanced training area, founder Rainer Pawelke developed the idea of expanding traditional sport with creative and playful elements (movement arts, juggling, adventure sports, Frisbee games, jumping rope , etc.) in the early 1980s . The dream factory also presented creations in music and aesthetic education, such as the “sports theater” with u. a. artistic concepts for black theater . These ideas have been passed on to multipliers, cultural managers and educators since 1983. Every year the International Sport Culture Academy of the Traumfabrik took place at the University of Regensburg, meanwhile the event has been renamed "Experience Days" and takes place all over Regensburg. With over 60 workshops ( dance , theater , artistry , games and rhythm ), 40 speakers, approx. 1,800 course places and an extensive cultural program, it is the largest training event of its kind in Europe.
